At JAS Bakery, we regularly capture the atmosphere of our bakery for promotional purposes on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other media platforms.
Our promotional content may include high-angle, accelerated time-lapse footage and recordings made using cameras, smartphones or other devices. We aim to minimise the identification of customers who have not agreed to feature in promotional content.
PRIVACY REQUESTS & IDENTITY VERIFICATION
We take privacy seriously and have procedures in place to protect customers against unauthorised or fraudulent requests. If you believe you are identifiable in our published content and wish to object to its use, please contact JAS Bakery directly.
To investigate your request, we may ask for:
- Video details: The link, approximate timestamp and description of your appearance or position.
- Visit confirmation: The approximate date and time of your visit.
- Purchase verification: Where relevant, details of items purchased, transaction times or receipt references, which may be checked against our existing business records.
- Identity verification: Additional reasonable and proportionate evidence where genuine doubts about identity remain.
Requests made on behalf of another individual may require evidence of authority to act for that person.
We reserve the right to carry out appropriate identity checks before acting on requests concerning an individual’s personal data.
We will not require proof of purchase where no purchase was made. All complaints and requests will be assessed individually in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection legislation.
